Skeksi Sketchsy
I had some time to sketch today and thought birds would be a good subject..hello spring!
I don't do much "fan art" but I was inspired by the work of a friend at a show this past Friday night. The birds reminded me of the creatures from The Dark Crystal, the Skeksis. They were creepy bird-like reptilian creatures who loved to wear ornamental attire, go figure.
Here's my take.
Chirp,

Alone Against the World
Finished up the final page to Part I of Space is Cold last night. Feels really good to bring this part to a close and move on to the next part of the story. I've got a few ideas about where Part II will take our adventurers but nothing concrete.
You'll just have to come back soon to see what happens...
...after all, the galaxy is a big place.

SKRRAAAAAAAAK!!!
First new page of the year and hopefully more to come in 2015. I'm working towards a real storyline here. I swear. I hope you've all been enjoying the story despite the sporadic publishing.
I had a conversation with some fellow art partners in crime a couple months ago about the style of these. When I began, I had the option of doing a more simplified coloring style, more like traditional comics. This simplified style really would have sped up the process and kept these publishing more regular-like but it just didn't feel right for me...This is what I do, and I hope you like it.
If you have an opinion on the style let me know, I'd love to hear it. Really.
See you soon.
